The Department of Agriculture for Central Luzon along with the Special Area for Agricultural Development in Central Luzon (SAAD Central Luzon) was awarded 5th Placer in the Midyear Financial and Physical Performance Award in the ongoing SAAD Phase 2 FY. 2023 this August 3, 2023, of the National Program Management Office (NPMO) in Baguio City.

The activity was led by SAAD NPMO Director, Ulysses J. Lustria and SAAD NPMO Deputy Director, Dr. Pedro S. Dumaraos.

Among the 15 regions which renders up the SAAD Program for the entire Philippines, SAAD Central Luzon was given an Overall Certificate of Award in terms of the financial and physical targets of this year’s program, SAAD Central Luzon obtained an average score of 78.36% in the Mid-Year National Assessment.

SAAD Regional Coordinator Marie Joy M. Daguro accepted the said award together with SAAD Central Luzon staffs, Engr. Noli M. De Leon, Head, Admin and Procurement Unit, Carmecita S. Nogoy, Head, Marketing Assistance and Enterprise Development Unit, Laieson C. Cabigao, Head, Social Preparation Unit Senior Administrative Assistant II Angie Roxas, Data Controller IV Sonny Kabigting, and Data Analyst Jheslee Tan joined the Midyear Assessment.

During the activity, the Regional Coordinators and Report Officers provided an update on the distribution of SAAD Program interventions in Tarlac and Nueva Ecija. Furthermore, the amount of units of machineries and animals, including swine and ready-to-lay (RTL) chickens, was discussed to participants of the said Assessment.

In addition to this, it is anticipated that the SAAD program in Central Luzon will continue to distribute additional agricultural aid to its beneficiaries.
