Alinsunod at suporta sa National Rice Program na “Masagana Rice Program” at sa FY 2024 Research and Development Allocation ng Kagawaran ng Pag-sasaka, ang DA-RFO 3 Research for Development Division (R4DD) ay dinaos ang taonang “Evaluation of R4D Proposals” sa CLIARC Paraiso, Tarlac nitong ika-5 at 6 ng Oktobre.

Ang aktibidad na ito ay naglalayong masiyasat at sigurado na ang bawat proyekto ng dibisyon ay naayon priyoridad ng kagawaran sa rehiyon tatlo at lalo na sa National Rice Program four key strategies: 1) Increasing rice productivity by optimizing yields, reducing risk, and increasing resilience through climate change adaptation measures; 2) Achieving economies of scale, more efficient operations, and agribusiness through farm clustering and consolidation; 3) Quickly implementing digital transformation for rice agriculture; and 4) Reorienting the rice program towards a comprehensive “Triple A” approach (i.e., agricultural production, agribusiness, and agritourism).

Sa kabuuan, 26 R4D projects ang sumailalim sa mabusising pagsisiyasat ng mga eperts mula sa PhilRice at PSAU sa dalawang araw na aktibidad. Nagsilbi naman mga evaluators sila Dr. Eduardo Jimmy P. Quilang (PhilRice), at Jonathan M. Niones (PhilRice), at gayun rin Dr.Rogelio P. Carandang Jr. (PSAU) at mga piling opisyales ng DA-RFO 3 sa pangunguna ng butihing hepe ng dibisyon.

Ang nabanggit na aktibidad ng R4DD ay dinaluhan ng mga Banner Program Focal Representatives kasama at mga researcher mula sa Research Division and ROSes.
