NUEVA ECIJA FARMER COOP TO RECEIVE 1M FINANCIAL GRANT

The South Nueva Ecija Seed Growers Multipurpose Cooperative signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Regional Executive Director of DA RFO 3- Crispulo Bautista, Jr. and Chief of Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division – Fernando Lorenzo for the Enhanced KADIWA ni Ani at Kita Food Supply Chain Working Capital on October 13, 2020.

The Enhanced KADIWA financial grants intend to heighten the capacities of farmers and fisherfolk organizations to become trustworthy food commodity suppliers to consumers and for community based-organizations to sustainably run the Kadiwa retail stores.

The cooperative will be receiving one (1) million peso grant from the program to be given once they completed all the requirements for allocation. The coop-chairman – Leonardo DJ Guinto gave his full gratitude,”Maraming salamat po grant na binigay sa aming kooperatiba ng DA dahil malaking tulong po ito sa amin at lalu na sa mga matutulungang consumer ng aming samahan”, he exclaimed.

“Gagamitin po namin ito para mamili ng mga palay sa mga magsasaka sa magandang presyo at amin naman po itong bibigasin gamit ang RPC na bigay din ng DA. Ang bigas po ay isusuplay namin sa KADIWA sa mababang halaga”, Chairman added.

Moreover, according to Raiza G. Franco – Agriculturist I from AMAD, “Meron pa po tayong 15 cooperatives from the province of Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga and Zambales na naka-lineup. May mga makakatanggap po ng 500,000 to 3,000,000 pesos working capital at Forward Truck and Solar Dryer worth 5,000,000 pesos and 6,000,000 pesos hauling truck na magagamit sa KADIWA”, she stated.

Lastly, to be qualified for Financial Grant Assistance under the Enhanced KADIWA ni Ani at Kita as per instruction of Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Services (AMAS) Central Office, beneficiaries must be an existing supplier of KADIWA ni Ani at Kita Program.
