DA CENTRAL LUZON DISTRIBUTES INDEMNITY PAYMENT FOR AFFECTED HOG RAISERS
City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 distributed indemnity payment to the hog raisers affected by the African Swine Fever in the Municipality of General Natividad, Nueva Ecija on November 18 at DA-RFO 3, Capitol Compound.
A total of 476 ASF affected hog raisers received cash assistance for their depopulated pigs totaling to the 6,210 pigs worth of Php31,050,000 million cash.
One of the farmer-beneficiary was Renato Dumanlag of Barangay Manarog who handed 20 hogs and received P100,000.00. He acknowledged the continuous support of the Department of Agriculture for the affected hog-raisers.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Department of Agriculture Region 3 dahil sa pamamagitan ng cash assistance na ibinigay sa amin nakabawi kami sa mga nalugi naming alagang baboy. Ang perang natanggap ko ay gagamitin ko para makabangon sa nalugi naming pangkabuhayan,” Dumanlag said.
For the 3rd released of indemnification, more than Php429,021,000 were successfully distributed in the Central Luzon.###
