A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between the Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary William Dar, Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) President and CEO Cecilia Borromeo, and Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPFP) Vice Chairman and President Sakol Cheewakoset held at the CPFP Aqua Feedmill Plant, Samal, Bataan on February 18, 2022.
Under the MOA, LBP and CPFP agreed to provide credit, technical, and marketing support to potential borrowers for hog, poultry, and shrimp enterprises.
This agreement will build a stronger and more resilient hog industry that has been constrained by the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak.
In addition, CPFP Chairman Sakol Cheewakoset expressed his gratitude for the trust of the DA and LBP to contribute to the recovery of the Philippines Swine Industry.”With this prime project, we also help the entire Philippines Swine Industry and economy to recover in the best little way we can.
With our expertise and technological know-how, we practice our shared knowledge to help boost a sustainable business climate not only for our company but through Filipino farmer partners,” Chairman Cheewakoset stated.While CPFP is committed to bringing food security and food sustainability while ensuring that all Filipino people shall have access to healthy, safe, and hygienic food, this agreement will also help in the hog repopulation, rehabilitation, and recovery program of the Department of Agriculture.Moreover, a CPFP site visit and tree planting were conducted after the Memorandum of Agreement signing.

Morales, DARFO3-Regional Executive Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr., Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Director Wilfredo M. Cruz, CPFP President Udomsak Aksornphakdee, CPFP Senior Vice-President Supakitti Bunvet, CPFP Chief Financial Officer Aphichai Charupanit, CPFP Vice President for Swine Business Nattakorn Sujipittham, CPFP Vice President for Shrimp Business Wichet Kaewpa, CPFP Vice President for Fish Business Jamnan Sudtrong, LandBank Officials and Local Government of Bataan Province.
