DOn behalf of Assistant Secretary Federico E. Laciste, Jr., the Department of Agriculture – Wide Field Inspectorate (DA-WFI) team conducted field monitoring, inspection, and validation of various Programs, Projects and Activities implemented by DA Regional Field Office 3 (DA RFO 3) on May 4-6, 2022.
This is in line with their mandate to regularly monitor the department’s projects to ensure that these projects are properly implemented in accordance with the operational plans and guidelines including fund utilization.
The team was welcomed and assisted by DA RFO 3 officials and representatives from different banner programs headed by Ms. Marie Joy Daguro of Field Operations Division and in coordination with the agricultural program coordinators of Region 3 and provincial and municipal agriculturists.
During the three-day monitoring and inspection, seventeen (17) projects funded under DA regular program and Philippine Rural Development Program (PRDP) were evaluated by DA-WFI. These were the farm-to-market roads in Pampanga and Tarlac; Bamboo intercropped with mungbean and irrigated by Solar Drip Fertigation in Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU); Solar-Powered Fertigation project in Lubao, Pampanga; F2C2 project and Establishment of Mungbean Trading Post in La Paz, Tarlac; Onion Cold Storage and Processing Center and Storage Facilities with Solar Dryer in Moncada, Tarlac; Valiant Cold Storage Facility and a livelihood project in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija; Onion Cold Storage and Mango Processing Facility in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija; Coffee Processing Facility in Dipaculao, Aurora; and Cacao Fermentation Facility and a livelihood project in Baler, Aurora.
Mr. John Gonzales of DA-WFI team said that they are very satisfied with the implementation of these projects and accomplishments of DA Central Luzon and thanked them for the warm welcome they received. They also congratulated DA RFO 3 for being awarded as the best performing region in terms of financial and physical accomplishment during the first quarter of 2022.
