ACCOUNTING OFFICE

is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with government accounting standards, and supporting the financial management of the department’s programs and projects, thereby contributing to the effective implementation of agricultural policies and initiatives.

FUNCTIONS OF ACCOUNTING OFFICE

  • Receiver – Responsible for the receiving of documents, assigning serial number and updating the DTMS.
  • Processors – Responsible for the initial review of DV as to the completeness of supporting documents and propriety of claims.
  • Remitter/ADA – Responsible for the preparation of LDDAP-ADA, remittance of various withholdings and issuance of BIR Forms to supplier.
  • JEVers – In charge of encoding the financial transactions into the eNGAS and shall fulfill any tasks that may be assigned to them in connection with the preparation of the JEVs.
  • Forwarding/Releasing – receives the documents from the RCA/OIC and/or the processors and forwards the documents to the Office of RED or to the end-user if the processor and/or the accountant still has comments that need to be complied.
