DA helping farmers sell crops
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The Department of Agriculture (DA) leading the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) of Central Luzon has contacted a vegetable and white egg farmer to sell their harvest to a sure buyer or buyer only 15th December in Pandacan, Manila.
One of the programs AMAD implements is Market Linkage or helping farmers struggling to sell their crops can be attributed to certain buyers or market buyers.
According to AMAD’s Menchie Nogoy, they helped a farmer sell 2,700 trays (12 pcs. / tray) or 32,400 pcs white egg with whole for 202,500 pesos and 2,700 packs vegetable (1 kg / pack) of pakbet sold for 405,000 pesos (Php150 / pack).
Caritas Incorporated from Pandacan, Manila became the sure buyer of these products, one of the partners of DA AMAD in buying the harvest of local farmers in Central Luzon.
