DA RFO 3 KADIWA REACHES PHP 9 MILLION SALES
Balanga, Bataan—Despite Tropical Storm Pepito, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 in partnership with the Department of Energy rolls-out the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita at Peninsula Electric Cooperative, Inc. on October 21.
The Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita is a mobile market initiative program of the DA’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division that establishes the linkage between the market and local producers in the country which consonance with the Secretary’s “New Thinking” for Agriculture paradigm.
The Supervising Agriculturist Menchie Nogoy assured that the products acquired by the consumers are safe and fresh products directly from the farmers.
Seven Farmers Groups namely Kaanib Cataning, Tindahan ng Bayan, HARBC Abucay, BAB Abucay, COFMACO Abucay, Ruthy’s Pilar, and Ric Pilar participated in the said activity.
With this, farmers and fisherfolks will be able to keep afloat in this time of pandemic by providing accessible, affordable, and nutritious food to the consumers.
According to DA Assistant Secretary for Agribusiness and Marketing Kristine Evangelista, three types of Kadiwa which include Kadiwa on Wheels, Kadiwa Retail, and Kadiwa Online are setting up in various municipalities and cities.
