LOOK || The Research for Development Division (R4DD) held its Pre-In-House Review on July 10-12, 2024, at Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC) in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. The review was headed by Dr. Irene M. Adion, OIC-RTD for Research, Regulations, and Integrated Laboratory Services, Dr. Emily A. Soriano, OIC-Chief, Research Division, and the research outreach station chiefs, who also served as evaluators.

The three-day review featured the presentation and discussion of 29 research papers classified into two categories: research and development. The provided papers were evaluated based on their completeness and accomplishment of targets in line with their objectives; thus, various improvements must be made in response to the evaluators’ feedback and suggestions. The activity also served as a way to encourage all presenters to participate in a range of activities alike in order to further their experience, knowledge, and expertise.

The Pre-In-House Review is one of the division’s annual activities, serving as a precursor to the Agency-In-House review. This year’s review was attended by both permanent and COS staff, with the goal of giving everyone exposure to presenting research papers in advance of future endeavors.
