Pampanga, Nueva Ecija Young Farmers named as Central Luzon Regional Awardees of Young Farmers Challenge: Kabataang Agribiz Program
Two youth enterprises from Pampanga and one from Nueva Ecija bag awards and financial grant worth P150,000 each during the Young Farmers Challenge: Kabataang Agribiz Program Regional Awarding on December 7, 2021 at the Old Session Hall, Capitol, City of San Fernando Pampanga.
Third placer Sunshine Ae L’s Farm represented by Jennie Lizza P. Flores from Pampanga showcased agripreneurship on Quail Farming.
Meanwhile, second placer Sakahon of Pampanga, represented by a group of young enterprise namely Mary Elaine C. Timbol, Elvin Jerome Laceda, Von Alvaro Payumo, Elijah Joseph C. Timbol, Vivien Abbie Ramos showed business venture on high value crops and modernization of market engagement and widening market linkages.
First placer, The Promise Land Integrated Farming & Trading by Kaecelyn L. Saltiban ventured in integrated farming and products manufactured from her own farm such as chili garlic, picked chilis, Tilapia, maja kalabasa and other high value crops as well.
The said financial grant shall serve as an additional capital for the planned innovative agri-based micro-enterprise operated by an individual youth or as joint venture between two or more individual youth.
The regional awardees will be the entry of Central Luzon on the National Young Farmers’ Competition. The presentation of the national winners will be on December 10, 2021 for Phase I and on December 13, 2021 for Phase II.
