PLANT TISSUE CULTURE FACILITY ACCREDITATION

Pursuant to the provision of Section 12 of the Republic Act No. 7308, otherwise known as the Seed Industry Development Act of 1992, issued to ensure the processes undertaken in the plant tissue culture facility to produce quality planting materials of various crops.

WHO MAY AVAIL OF THE SERVICE:

  • Department of Agriculture (DA) – Regional Field Offices and its Centers/Station
  • State Colleges and Universities (SCUs), 
  • Local Government Units (LGUs)
  • Other National Government Agencies
  • Private Individuals
  • Private Groups (Cooperative, Association, Corporation, & etc.)

REQUIREMENTS TO BE BROUGHT/ SUBMITTED

            For Plant Nursery Accreditation:

  1. Letter of intent (Address to the BPI Director)
  2. Filled out Application Form (BPI-NSQCS-PTCFA Form 1)
  3. Current Mayor’s Permit
  4. Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Registration
  5. Duly Notarized Authorization of Applicant
    • For Private Groups (1 copy, original);
    • Authorization of applicant duly signed by the designated authority of the agency (for government tissue culture facility; 1 copy, original)
  6. Any of the following documents, whichever is applicable:
    • Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Registration Certificate (1 Copy, Photocopy; For Sole proprietorship and partnership
    • Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration Certificate (1 Copy, Photocopy; For Partnership and Private Corporations)
    • Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) or Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) registration (1 copy, Photocopy; For Private associations);
    • Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) registration certificate (1 copy, Photocopy; For Cooperatives)
  7. Certificate of existence of the facility
  8. Location map, lay-out plan and photos of the plant tissue culture facility
  9. Copy of the official receipt of payment for application fee
