Lubao, Pampanga – The Department of Agriculture of Central Luzon held a gathering or virtual meeting in preparation for the year 2022, ′′ DA FY 2022 Plan and Budget Proposal Presentation to the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), State University and Colleges (SUCs) and Private Sector ′′ at Hacienda Gracia Resorts and Hotel, Sta. Maria, Lubao, Pampanga this February 24
The Department’s plans were placed in the said activity and gave participants an opportunity to disclose the problems or problems faced by each province in the agricultural sector. At the same time, officials at the forefront of each agency banner programs addressed their grievances.
In the message of OIC-RTD for Operations and Extension Dr. Eduardo Lapuz, Jr, he shared with the participants the purpose of the meeting that was conducted.
′′ The annual consultation meeting is being held before submitting our Budget Proposal for the year 2022, we need to be presented so that we can ask for comments and suggestions on how to improve and how to be responsive our budget allocated to our agriculture sector. Like now our sector faces many challenges just like price increases and ASF problems,” it says.
Meanwhile, Project Evaluation Officer IV Noli Sambo of PMED discussed FY 2022 Plan and Budget Proposal so that every participant can comment and recommendations. He also added the CSO Consultation 2021 Proposed Budget to see projects and activities developed last year.
OIC-RTD for Research, Regulatory, ILD Dr. clarified it Arthur Dayrit to the CSOs about the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) that not only rice farmers are included in this program. Instead, this includes farmers, livestock and fishermen. This is being conducted by the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with DA-Provincial and Municipal Local Government Units.
′′ We are in the process of updating RSBSA. We are asking the assistance of our CSOs that are here, the first requirement to receive interventions in DA should be registered in RSBSA. No RSBA, no interventions for us.”
Dinaluhan ang pagpupulong ng mga cooperatives/ organizations, partner agencies, state universities and colleges, agri-fishery council chairpersons, and sectoral committee council.
