SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ, NUEVA ECIJA—Senator Cythia A. Villar served as the Guest of Honor during the Nueva Ecija City and Municipal Agriculturists monthly meeting held at Bureau of Fisheries of Aquatic Resources (BFAR) National Freshwater Fisheries Technology Center (NFFTC), CLSU Compound, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija on March 27.

In her message, Villar, who is also the Chairperson of Senate Committee on Environment and Agriculture, acknowledged the role of the agriculturists officers in contributing to the development of the agriculture sector and regarded Nueva Ecija as the number one producer of rice and onion in the country.

“Ang mga agriculturist ay talagang forefront ng agriculture sector at malaki ang inyong kontribuksyon sa pag-unlad ng sektor dito sa bansa. And I am pleased that you have the willingness to share your knowledge and knowhow to farmers. Napakalaking bagay niyan para sa mga Pilipinong magsasaka.” said Villar

“Kayo ang kaakibat ng ating mga magsasaka at mga mangingisda dahil sa mga technical services, research, at iba pa. Kayo rin ang nagsisilbing link ng gobyerno, private, at public sectors. Malaki ang papel ng mga agriculturist sa pag-achieve ng ating mga magsasaka at mga mangingisda na maitaas ang antas ng kanilang pamumuhay.” Villar furthered

Organized by Department of Agriculture in Central Luzon, Nueva Ecija Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and BFAR NFFC, present during the meeting were DA Central Luzon Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extension Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr., OIC-Chief BFAR NFFC Jodicel Danding, Nueva Ecija Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) Dr. Evelyn Fernando, Nueva Ecija Provincial Agriculturist Serafin S.
